Professional HVLP Paint Spray Equipment

On these pages we concentrate on the HVLP equipment primarily used by the painting contractor. This equipment comes with its own air supply provided by a compact electric turbine. HVLP spray guns that are designed to be connected to a compressor are effectively modified Air Spray Guns and the principles of use are the same. In our shop, those HVLP guns are included in the Air Spray category.

HVLP stands for 'High Volume Low Pressure'. This type of paint spray equipment uses a high volume of air delivered at a low pressure to purpose designed guns to create the spray pattern. The air can be supplied by an electric turbine or a compressor. Many air spray guns now come in standard and HVLP versions. The low atomizing air pressure gives less over-spray and better transfer efficiency than conventional air spray guns.
